Publitweet – Bringing Your Blog and Your Twitter Account Closer Together

publitweetPeople are often thinking about ways to effectively monetise their Twitter account, and we may have found a good way to do it.

Publitweet aims to make the connection between your blog and your Twitter account even stronger than it would be otherwise.  The idea is to create a widget of your own that you can display on your blog.  By doing this you will be able to publicise your Twitter stream to more people and you can also monetise it if you wish.

It is very easy to create your widget and it just takes a few moments to do so.  It isn’t complicated in the slightest, which should should make it more attractive to the many people who are looking for an innovative and user friendly Twitter widget to use.

But one of the most intriguing parts of this whole process is that they provide you with an analytics toolbar, that allows you can use to check how your widget is performing.  You can see who is clicking on what and which items are being shared in other ways.  This means you aren’t just sticking a widget on your blog – you are discovering how that widget is going to be used and what value it has in the long run.

It is still fairly early days for Publitweet.  But it will certainly be interesting to see how things pan out and how effective it is as a medium for promoting your Twitter account – and making you some money in the process.

  1. I’ve added the Publitweet widget to the Innovation Investment Journal ( However, I’m now thinking that I may have to remove it as it won’t load in Internet Explorer. It works brilliantly in Chrome and Firefox, but I can’t find a way to make it work in IE. I know it can be done as I’ve checked in out in IE on Robert Scoble’s Scobleizer and it works there.

I have contacted the Publitweet team for support on this, but received the reply that they use Macs so they’re not bothered about it working in IE.

If anybody knows how I can solve this problem, I would be really grateful if you could post a solution here.
