My Feed Sig Turning Your RSS Into a Graphic Signature

feed.pngWhat better way to promote your site blog than by leaving a signature of the latest post information from your RSS feed?

Everyone who has a blog knows that the best way to market is to find social sites and other blogs on similar subjects and get involved in the commentary and conversations. Linking back to yourself, though, is usually just through a lame one-line URL link to your site, which says little about it to those reading.

Catchy phrases and tag lines might work, but they get cliche’d and old after a while. Worse, many comments are dwarfed in size by the signature of the commenter, which just looks tacky and overbearing.

Enter It’s a free service that lets you put in your RSS address, customize some color and presentation options, and then gives you code you can use (either straight HTML or PHPBB/vBulletin forum code) to create a nice little graphic box featuring your blog feed.

Whatever your latest blog post is will be listed as the current title in the little feed box, so it looks something like this:

That is the default look from MyFeedSig and so far, so good. You can see what the general idea is there. Imagine that as a continually-updating signature for your forum posting or on blog comments around the Web. Much more eye-catching than the standard “–[insert name here]” thing.

Here is the same signature, but with some color changes to more closely match the sCommerce site design, so you can see how customizeable it can be:

The best part is that the site is totally free to use and doesn’t even require a login. Once the code is built, you’re finished. It remembers you by site ID (RSS) rather than by a username or login.
