Users can download applications such as Facebook and WhatsApp using the ‘App Search’

The Chinese multinational company is testing a new application called App Search, so that its users can download the most popular applications without using the Google service.
The suspension of trade negotiations between Google and Huawei last year, after the latter was included in the ‘black list’ of companies that put the national security of the United States at risk, has made the Chinese company unable to use the services Google or the Play Store app store on their new products.
The Mate 30 was the device that inaugurated this new stage in which Huawei ‘smartphones’ would work with their own mobile services and not with those of Google.
As reported by the XDA Developers portal, the company will be testing its App Search in Germany and has its own website in German.
The Chinese company stated that among the applications that users will be able to download in ‘App Search’ -which will be included in its Mate 30, P40 and Mate Xs series- are Facebook and WhatsApp.
To download this application, which until now is only in German, users can do so through the website or from the Huawei ‘apps’ Gallery.
According to screenshots from XDA Developers, it can be seen that the service also offers other known applications such as Instagram, Spotify, Twitter, Google Maps, Google Translate or TikTok.
