Bassett business is marking its fifth anniversary by sharing its social media marketing expertise with other firms
A fast-growing small business in Royal Wootton Bassett is marking its fifth anniversary by sharing its social media marketing experience with other companies in the area.
Yola O’Hara started Visually Explained in 2015 to help clients in Swindon, Wiltshire and along the M4 corridor to turn their complex data into easy-to-understand infographics. This year, Ms O’Hara is hosting free clinics at her company’s Bowman House headquarters on the first Tuesday of every month to suggest social media marketing ways to businesses for improving their social media pages.
She said, I am passionate about social media and how effective it can be for businesses. However, it has to be done well and consistently to bring results. I really want businesses to appreciate its importance and to understand what it can do for their organisations.
I am very proud to have achieved my first five years in business. Five years in the world of social media is a long time because it is constantly changing and we pride ourselves on keeping bang up-to-date with what is happening in this really dynamic arena.
During its first half a decade in business, Visually Explained and Yola specifically have been finalists in both the Wiltshire Business Awards and the South West Business and Community Awards.
Initially set up to offer data visualisation through infographics, the company soon diversified into social media in response to high demand from potential customers.
Now Yola and her team specialise in outsourced social media, creating libraries for clients, auditing platforms and running training programmes and workshops.
Businesses can book a half-hour slot in one of the monthly free clinics throughout 2020, where they can access expert help with social media – everything from how to create a platform and when to post, to advice on content and frequency.
Visually Explained already offers free clinics in Bristol, on the last Tuesday of the month at The Orange Tree Hub and is launching a third series in Cheltenham in March which will be specifically aimed at cyber security businesses.
