Dutch fintech Prince open to UK startups

Dutch Prince Constantijn van Oranje-Nassau, younger brother of King Willem-Alexander of the Netherlands, is quite laid back amid the European scramble to attract London’s fintech community away from the UK.

The startup envoy of the Netherlands said he has seen an uptick in interest for Amsterdam from startups since the UK voted to leave the European Union and immediately after the Brexit vote he received emails from startups saying that they were considering moving to the Netherlands.

He added: “I know of startups that are based in Amsterdam that were thinking about expanding into the UK and didn’t.
