Startups acquisitions speed up

The research firm CB insights had reported that in the first quarter of this year, around 34 artificial intelligence startups were acquired, an increase by more than twice comparing to the previous year.

Accordingly, Google’s Alphabet Inc. had acquired 11 startups since 2012, and it was on the top of the list, followed by Apple Inc., Facebook and Intel Corp.

While a spokesperson of Apple said the company had a new purchase of Lattice Data, other companies declined to comment of their plans and strategies.
